Popular heartthrob Joshua Garcia teams up with P-Pop sensations Pablo, Josh, Justin, Stell, and Ken in their latest music video all about the joy of giving. In collaboration with financial super app GCash, the beloved group, fondly known as ‘Mahalima’ by fans, just dropped their official Christmas jingle, “We Wish You a Merry GCash.” This modern take on the traditional act of giving during the holidays celebrates a bigger, better Christmas, where Filipinos nationwide can express joy and gratitude for family and friends, ensuring everyone has a truly Merry Christmas.
Neil Trinidad, Chief Marketing Officer of GCash, shared, “Christmas is always one of the most celebrated occasions in the Philippines because it’s synonymous with family, friends, and loved ones. ‘We Wish You a Merry GCash’ is a true portrayal of Christmas traditions celebrated over generations of Filipinos, made easier and more rewarding through GCash.”
This marks the second Christmas collaboration between the group and GCash after the memorable “G Pa Rin Ang Pasko” in 2021. For this year’s jingle, GCash and the group collaborated to create snappy choreography for the chorus, reminiscent of their signature moves in their smash hit “Gento.”
Expressing their excitement about expanding Christmas celebrations this year, the group said, “We’re using GCash to send Christmas gifts, share the joy, and prepare for our upcoming gatherings. It’s a convenient and heartwarming way to ensure that ‘Lahat Merry’ – everyone is happy and part of the festive season, no matter where they are.”
Having entered the music scene only five years ago, Pablo, Josh, Justin, Stell, and Ken quickly became known for their unconventional yet catchy sound and raw talent. The versatile musicians recently made even bigger waves with “Gento,” an ode to their transformation as a boy group.
Joshua Garcia, known for his role in “Unbreak My Heart,” joins the holiday celebration, expressing how Christmas is a very special time for his family. “Christmas is a very special time for us because this is when our whole family comes together for a reunion,” said Joshua.
